Day 1: Makassar / Airport – Pare Pare – Tana Toraja (only serving Dinner)
Morning arrival at Airport, meeting service by the guide and direct transfer to the land of the heavenly kings – Tana Toraja. The road to Pare-Pare will pass through Bugis villages with typical houses built on stilts and vast ricefield along the way. After having lunch, the road gradually ascending and winding through rolling hills and mountain valleys offering superb views until you arrive at Tana Toraja. Lunch on the trip then dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Full-Day Toraja Excursion (serving Breakfast & Dinner)
After enjoying some breakfast, a full day excursion will be exploring highlights of the region. Visit the cliff graves at Lemo where the burial chambers are cut out of the rock and several balconies filled with “tau-tau”, effigies of the dead. The ancient cave graves at Londa; burying many members of the local nobility. Young village guides with kerosene lamps could escort you to enter the caves to see skeletons and old coffins, with a nominal fee. Ke’te Kesu which is a traditional village famous for its woodcarving and paintings and the market of Rantepao with handicraft and souvenir shops is always an interesting place to visit. Drive for Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Tana Toraja – Pare Pare – Makassar / Airport (serving Breakfast)
After breakfast, transfer to Makassar Airport with a stop to admire the magnificent view of Bambapuang. Then direct transfer to Airport for your afternoon flight to next destination. And the tour ends.
